Camden County Library District
The Camden County Library District has six locations throughout Camden County to serve our patrons. While having a library card allows a person to have more privileges we have many resources available for those who are not cardholders.
For families with children we offer Story Time (intended for ages 3-6) and Toddler Time (intended for birth-24 months) each week. During this time, we read stories, sing songs, and for the older children we put together a craft. This is a great way to meet new friends, both for young children and parents. If you have children who are school aged are looking for something fun to do after school, look no further than the library! For this age group we have arts and craft and S.T.E.A.M. programs that allow kids to unwind after learning all day but incorporate elements of math, science, and engineering without them knowing or feeling like they are back in the classroom. If you have a teenager once a month we host at the Camdenton Library a Teen Game Night that involves board games, card games, Wii, and the occasional Xbox console and games.
For adults we offer book clubs at all six locations and each branch chooses which book they will read and discuss. We also have programs that occur weekly or monthly that allow you to explore your creative side and include embroidery, coloring, flower arranging, etc. Just like the teens, we offer a game night for adults at the Camdenton Library. We also have 3D printers (there is a fee for using this machine that covers the cost of the filament), a CNC machine, video equipment (green screen, video camera, lighting, etc), sewing machine, musical instruments, and more for you to use in our Creation Station at the Camdenton Library.
If you are looking to do business while at the Lake or maybe your computer/printer is not working at home we have computers, printers, scanners, fax machines, and copiers; to use these services there is a small fee.
If you are looking for something fun to do during the summer, be sure to participate in our summer reading program that allows you to earn coupons and prizes for reading.
So whether you are staying for a day, week, month, are thinking of relocating to the lake, or a resident be sure to check out the Camden County Library District.
