This 2-hour Intro to Pottery Wheel class provides a hands-on introduction to wheel throwing for beginners. Students learn to center, open, and raise clay walls using Crayola Air Dry Clay. Guided instruction covers basic techniques and studio practices. Since air-dry clay takes 24–48 hours to fully cure, you will take your pieces home to dry. Instructions on how to paint and seal them later will be given. ***Long nails, rings, and clay don't mix. For the best experience, trim nails short and leave your rings at home. Wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty. Pants or leggings work best, avoid skirts.A container to transport your creations safely home. *Optional - Bring a bath towel to drape across lap to avoid excess water build up on apron and cloths.
Class best for Ages 12+
NOTE: All students under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult. (Adult chaperones do not need to sign up for the class, but must be present on-site for the duration.)
$50/person - Only 8 spots available per class. Sign up in advance online.
