The Camden County Historical Society preserves and makes available the history of Camden County for the Benefit, Education, and Enjoyment of our present citizens and future generations. We are Non-Profit and NOT Tax Supported. You Can Help through Membership, Volunteering, and Monetary and Historical Donations and Visiting the Museum.

An extensive variety of local artifacts are on exhibit at the Camden County Museum. Visitors will find: pioneer tools, Civil and World Wars memorabilia, early county family collections, and an extensive Native American stone exhibit. The archives have interesting historical articles and genealogies of many of the grass-root families of the county. There is an abundance of photographs of Old Linn Creek, and other places of days gone by. All events and activities are family oriented. The museum is a tobacco, alcohol, firearms and pet free facility.

Admission is by Donation. We offer Historical Research by Appointment, Craft Classes, Camden County Historical Journals, a Book and Gift Shop, Vintage Working Looms, and Woven Rugs Available for sale. The Museum is the home of The Museum Players & Dinner Theater, the Children?s Theater, and Children?s History Camps.

Founded in 1962, the Camden County Historical Society meets regularly at the Linn Creek School House, now the Camden County Museum. The Society meets on the third Monday of each month, March through November. The evening opens with a potluck supper followed by the speaker for the evening, and a short business meeting. Everyone is welcomed.
