Lake Arts Council

All forms of the arts are thriving at the lake. For local residents, opportunities to perform exist for singers, musicians, and actors, young and old. Artists, photographers, writers, woodcarvers and wood workers all have formed organizations to share information and practice their artistry on a regular basis. Several of these groups are featured below.

The Lake Arts Council regularly sponsors cultural events. Last year, we hosted the Variety Showcase, and the Missouri Symphony. For up-to-date schedules and additional information please visit our website.

The Lake Arts Council brings a number of programs devoted exclusively to the youth of the community in a multitude of disciplines. The MizzouRah! Homegrown Children's Theater, Student Art Quest, Student Photo Quest, the Junior Duck Stamp competition and Festival of the Arts reach hundreds of adults and children living in the lake area.
