Witch's Cove, a Robert Trent Jones, Sr. course, opened for play in 1971; in 1996, Golf Digest rated it as the second best public course in Missouri. In 1994, it was one of the courses used for the National Club Pro Championship. The Trent Jones layout is extremely challenging from the 6,567 yard blue tees, providing true 'lake' ambience and scenic beatury on virtually every hole. Of particular significance is No. 13, an intimidating 2278 yard par 3 with a long carry over Witch's Cove.
